The future

Sunday, December 12th, 2010

As I have stated in a couple of posts I have been moving in a new direction.  In the upcoming months you will be seeing AND “hearing” more from me as we begin to explore new technology.  The Network we are building is going to move in a new  and exciting direction.

As we embrace some of the newer technology offerings we hope to spark some new interest in groups that have never been involved with music.  Each part of The Network has given their careers to improving teaching and appreciation of music. We are hoping to raise that back to a position that people will not only pay closer attention to music but participate.

I am looking forward to the new blogs, ustream, podcasts and more in the next few months.

More on this coming soon.

If you are looking for a piano in San Diego County, if you are looking for a piano in La Jolla or a piano in Carlsbad.  Look no further than in Sorrento Valley area of San Diego.  In addition to pianos they also carry a full line of guitars, violins and sheet music.

As you are enjoying recorded music for the Holidays, has some of the best Holiday music around.  Log in today to find some of the last remaining CDs.

Lastly, thanks to Max of for his assistance in growing the social media and outreach with a full vision of where we are headed.

Thank yous

I wanted to take a couple of seconds to thank some people for thier services to the music community.

Rosemary Bailey of has given her time and talents to people all over the country.  Rosemary’s talent is incredible and she shows it in every performance.  From Broadway to Jazz, Classical to Rock and Roll or Country and Gospel she puts forth her talent to the “nth” degree night after night.

Most recently she has done a Christmas project that is really something else.  What makes her so amazing is that not only is she so talented but, she also has a very unique gift of interpretation and understanding of what the music should be saying.  Her most recent Christmas project really shows off her connection to her audience and to her talent.  Understanding her fans and what they expect, what “should” be played musically and what the song writer intended.  Rosemary can seamlessly accomplish this without causing confusion to the person listening and is still able to deliver the song in its intended form.

I hope you will take the time to go to her website and hear a few clips of her Christmas CD

Holiday Memories-CD

I spoke with her this afternoon and she only has a few left so, log on to her website and order today.
The other group I want to thank is the guys at Sorrento Valley Music .  Jon and Rebecca have really stepped out onto a limb during very challenging times to open their new store.  They have such a passion for the business that they will be successful.  The other thing is their love for music education.  Rebecca has a very exciting teaching program and is working daily with her students to help them with their education and moving to the next level.
They have a full line of pianos, guitars, violins, music accessories and printed music and are working to expand their selection.  They are being very smart with their direction and taking small steps to improve every day.  So if you are looking for a piano in San Diego, Guitar in San Diego, Violin in San Diego or printed music or accessories look no further than Sorrento Valley Music.
Recently they decided to supply the San Diego Gay Mens Chorus a piano for their upcoming concert at the Birch North Park Theatre on December 11th and 12th.  Sorrento Valley Music has sent them an Estonia that has been perfectly voiced and regulated and is in tip top condition.  This is no small feat and if you know about Estonia you know just how difficult it can be to supply for an event like this.
My hat is off to Rosemary Bailey and Sorrento Valley Music for their dedication to the music industry, music and music education.
Lastly, this coming weekend is an anniversary of sorts.  The San Diego Gay Mens Chorus at is having a concert this weekend.  If you have not already purchased your tickets you should do it as soon as you can because the it is almost a sold out performance.
Hope you are celebrating during the holidays somewhere safe and sharing a great time with friends and family.

Rosemary Bailey demonstrates a cool computer application that accompanies her piano playing.

What a great time we had today.

I was invited to Maderas Country Club for the golf tournament to benefit The Ladainian Tomlinson Foundation.  We provided the Broadmann grand for the tournament reception.  It was truly great to see people raising money for such a worthy cause.  It was nice to meet the Charger players and thier fans.  I really enjoyed being a part of the benefit.

Greg Watson provided the entertainment and, of course, Dick Lewis and his staff were there as well.  I really enjoyed Greg’s playing tonight and I can’t wait until he is in the Performance Hall at the store on the 28th and 29th with Rosemary Bailey who is a fantastic talent herself.

If you are planning to attend your should contact us .  The Hall is filling up.

Hope to see you soon

Im never for sure what makes one weekend more special than others for a particular brand or product. It has been digital day here, most of the sales today have been digital pianos. Some days its accoustic other days more digital. Who knows?

I have been working on the concert for the end of the month today. On April 28 and 29 we are going to have Rosemary Bailey and Greg Watson playing a concert here in the performance hall. We are really expecting a huge turn out. There will be some special guests and appearances by some local/national celebrities but, the music will be very, very cool. Rosemary is a jazz artist like no other you have ever seen or heard. Her talent is amazing and you will be shocked at her performance that night. Greg Watson is an unbelievable talent that will absolutely amaze you. His ability to reach into your heart and mind and reach your emotions is like something I have never witnessed before. I cant wait.

They will be playing on a Roland instrument that is a work of art unto itself and
the C. Bechstein 9’2″ concert Grand.

All of the proceeds from the night will go directly to The Monarch School of San Diego. This place is truly amazing. They enroll just over 100 kids that are homeless. It is a treat to be involved with them on this project.

The East County Art Association took their art down today. I will really miss them being here. I hope they will return sometime soon. The Childrens Initiative hung thier art this week to take the place of the Art Association. You have to see the tremendous talent that comes out of the Childrens Initiative Art. You wont believe your eyes.

Take care and drop by and say hello sometime.
