But You Benefit BIG TIME!

Attention Piano Buyers!

Save from $2,000 to over $10,000 before 2010 (Dec. 31)

“Inventory Exchange” Supersale!

Dear Friend,

We need your help…

Piano Manufacturers are going to exchange last years floor model for new ones to keep up with our growing business. After seeing how this Pianos still look and feel new, We had to figure out how to save money for our clients looking for quality pianos… as soon as possible.

That’s why you’re reading this… because you get a firesale price on some of our most popular PIANOS (Upright and Grands).

That’s right. And I mean FIRESALE!

We are not going out of business, or worse. We just decided that selling this Pianos was a smart thing to do, that way our CLIENTS save money and our suppliers are happy. And it needs to be done quickly.

So as we were brainstorming, we thought about turning a potential negative, into a positive. You see, this way of selling “the floor model” helps a few lucky people like you…

“Get Your Upright or Grand Piano,

Bring Music back Home!”

We’re offering 16 Professional Uprights and 7 professional Grand Pianos… they have to be sold before Dec. 31 2010 and delivered by Jan 5, 2011. .

You get:

True prices from owners, not commissioned salespeople.. More savings!!

Sale Taxes included in price!!

In – Home Tuning and set – up after delivery included !!

But wait, you’ll also get a bonus 3 month PIANO LESSONS ($480 value) to get you enjoying your new Piano. We’ve never offered this EVER before.. Manufacturers normally don’t agree to such things.

This firesale offer expires December 31, 2010. It’s only available on the Inventory at hand, because that’s all We got approval from the manufacturers.

Hurry, come in now.

We’ve never offered so much for so little. And with this kind of pricing, We doubt this offer will last longer than Dec. 31.

That means if you’re the least bit interested in buying a piano… now is the time. We’ll NEVER repeat this offer again! (Maybe next year).

See you soon !!

The future

As I have stated in a couple of posts I have been moving in a new direction.  In the upcoming months you will be seeing AND “hearing” more from me as we begin to explore new technology.  The Network we are building is going to move in a new  and exciting direction.

As we embrace some of the newer technology offerings we hope to spark some new interest in groups that have never been involved with music.  Each part of The Network has given their careers to improving teaching and appreciation of music. We are hoping to raise that back to a position that people will not only pay closer attention to music but participate.

I am looking forward to the new blogs, ustream, podcasts and more in the next few months.

More on this coming soon.

If you are looking for a piano in San Diego County, if you are looking for a piano in La Jolla or a piano in Carlsbad.  Look no further than www.SorrentoValleyMusic.com in Sorrento Valley area of San Diego.  In addition to pianos they also carry a full line of guitars, violins and sheet music.

As you are enjoying recorded music for the Holidays, www.RosemaryBaileyMusic.com has some of the best Holiday music around.  Log in today to find some of the last remaining CDs.

Lastly, thanks to Max of www.MaxMorganDesign.com for his assistance in growing the social media and outreach with a full vision of where we are headed.

What are you doing for the Holidays?

Friday, December 10th, 2010

I have been busy blogging for some folks and trying to make their websites grow. I will begin soon explaining in detail the “what is” question of social media and the “why” of social media for www.MaxMorganDesign.com .  So many people don’t understand, I think I can explain.

www.RosemaryBaileyMusic.com has certainly grown in the past few weeks and the sell of her CDs have been very good.

www.SorrentoValleyMusic.com has begun growing and is doing good.  Their sales are starting to pick up as a result of more people finding out about them and that is a very good thing.

We are looking forward to a GREAT Christmas Holiday season.  Nice to focus on positive things.  This has been a very tough year for so many people, myself included, that its great to see things beginning to pick up.

Unitl next time.

Thank yous

I wanted to take a couple of seconds to thank some people for thier services to the music community.

Rosemary Bailey of www.RosemaryBaileyMusic.com has given her time and talents to people all over the country.  Rosemary’s talent is incredible and she shows it in every performance.  From Broadway to Jazz, Classical to Rock and Roll or Country and Gospel she puts forth her talent to the “nth” degree night after night.

Most recently she has done a Christmas project that is really something else.  What makes her so amazing is that not only is she so talented but, she also has a very unique gift of interpretation and understanding of what the music should be saying.  Her most recent Christmas project really shows off her connection to her audience and to her talent.  Understanding her fans and what they expect, what “should” be played musically and what the song writer intended.  Rosemary can seamlessly accomplish this without causing confusion to the person listening and is still able to deliver the song in its intended form.

I hope you will take the time to go to her website and hear a few clips of her Christmas CD

Holiday Memories-CD

I spoke with her this afternoon and she only has a few left so, log on to her website and order today.
The other group I want to thank is the guys at Sorrento Valley Music www.SorrentoValleyMusic.com .  Jon and Rebecca have really stepped out onto a limb during very challenging times to open their new store.  They have such a passion for the business that they will be successful.  The other thing is their love for music education.  Rebecca has a very exciting teaching program and is working daily with her students to help them with their education and moving to the next level.
They have a full line of pianos, guitars, violins, music accessories and printed music and are working to expand their selection.  They are being very smart with their direction and taking small steps to improve every day.  So if you are looking for a piano in San Diego, Guitar in San Diego, Violin in San Diego or printed music or accessories look no further than Sorrento Valley Music.
Recently they decided to supply the San Diego Gay Mens Chorus a piano for their upcoming concert at the Birch North Park Theatre on December 11th and 12th.  Sorrento Valley Music has sent them an Estonia that has been perfectly voiced and regulated and is in tip top condition.  This is no small feat and if you know about Estonia you know just how difficult it can be to supply for an event like this.
My hat is off to Rosemary Bailey and Sorrento Valley Music for their dedication to the music industry, music and music education.
Lastly, this coming weekend is an anniversary of sorts.  The San Diego Gay Mens Chorus at www.SDGMC.org is having a concert this weekend.  If you have not already purchased your tickets you should do it as soon as you can because the it is almost a sold out performance.
Hope you are celebrating during the holidays somewhere safe and sharing a great time with friends and family.

The new network of dealers and artists

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

Over the past few weeks I have been working  with Max Morgan of  Max Morgan Design www.MaxMorganDesign.com  along with Sorrento Valley Music  at www.SorrentoValleyMusic.com and Rosemary Bailey at www.RosemaryBaileyMusic.com .  We have been putting together a network that will help to enhance the traffic to our websites.

www.MaxMorganDesign.com has been assiting our media projects from the beginning.  Max has really helped me understand the social media world and blogging and multi-media through the internet.  I have helped him understand retail and the music business as well as the piano business over all.  It has been a real pleasure having been associated with him.

www.SorrentoValleyMusic.com and www.PianoSD.com have been friends for many years.  I have really enjoyed working with Jonell and Rebecca.  Their commitment to the music business and music education is incredible.  This couple has really made a difference.

The latest addition to “The Network” is www.RosemaryBaileyMusic.com . This is another great lady of the music industry.  I am not going to reveal the number of years that she has been involved in music but, I will reveal that she is one of the first ladies of music in our industry.  She worked as a performer with the great Hammond Organ company for years as well as Technics and more recently with the famous Roland Atelier Organs.  You should visit her website and find some of her CDs especially her Christmas CD.  Its the greatest.

As things begin to come together I will keep you informed and you will be amazed at “The Network” we start to put together.

SO, whats the latest?

Saturday, December 4th, 2010

By now most of you that have been following my blogs have realized that PianoSD.com is no longer in business as of July 2010.  While this has broken my heart it has also opened up huge opportunity for me personally to continue to promote music and pianos.  I have been through the grieving process and now I am ready to restart my passion for making music and promoting the piano business in a new direction.

Through this trial I have had the opportunity to talk with many of my friends and colleagues who share my interests and they are keenly aware that we have to make some changes in the industry and in our culture if we are to survive.  Through that we came to a mutual agreement that perhaps embracing modern day technology is the right answer.

Max Morgan of Max Morgan Design has helped in coming up with a workable solution to our increasingly demanding media and together we have launched a new   social media solution.  We have now begun to  offer a social media package which will include posts on social media applications such as Facebook, Twitter, My Space, etc. as well as blogs and email blasts for piano dealers and music enthusiasts each month.  Through that we are hoping to raise the awareness of the need for music and music education.

Social Media is here.  It is going to be here for some time to come.  It’s time for us to open our lines of communication to all types of people and in so doing we hope to learn what it is that we, as an industry, can do to help people be more interested in making music.  There are so many “fun” things for us and our children to do today that the thought of learning to play a musical instrument never comes to mind.  However, I have never EVER had anyone say to me “I am sad that I learned to play a musical instrument”.  Quite the contrary, I have had LOTS of people tell me “I am so sorry that I never learned to play”. This tells me a lot.  I hope to turn that into a positive for as many people as I possibly can.

During the time that PianoSD was open in San Diego I fully understood the need to reach out to the teachers and offer as much as I possibly could.  Some people have said “see what that got you” and to that my reply is “yes, I helped as many teachers as I could give their students something that ‘life’ will never take away…….appreciation of music and in some cases developing a talent that will bring a smile to many people for many years to come”.

Follow our various blogs and posts to see what happens next.  It is going to be a very exciting journey.  This journey begins with our regular posts at www.PianoSD.com, www.MaxMorganDesign.com, www.RosemaryBaileyMusic.comwww.SorrentoValleyMusic.com.  Visit these websites and then be sure to let them know how you heard about them.  Also, watch as this list grows with innovative music dealers who are ready to branch out.

If your company is interested in a social media solution please feel free to contact us at www.PianoSD.com or www.MaxMorganDesign.com or by simply emailing Ric@PianoSD.com.

Thanks again
